Zack
16-12-2006
Hi i have a E900 and the screen was a bit flickery a week ago and now it has got worse and worse and today it wont even charge which leads me to think there is a loose connection. does anyone know how i get it repaired, it should be under warrenty still but there website is quite slow and useless on here can i email them and they send a courier (sp) to pick it up? thats what i done with 3G before someone picked it up the next working day just took the phone from me and put it in a packet then took it away and delivered it back 2 days later

if its not possible to do it under warrenty anyone know any places around bath that could fix it??

Cheers

Isn't it only a couple of weeks old? Why not just take it back to where you bought it from, if it's that new, they should swap it.

The phone has only been released a few months so obviously you'll have the manufacturers warranty... I don't get why people ask about this, it's simple, you just contact the manufacturer.

No, you go to the retailer, because that's where you bought it from.

If you contact the manufacturer and you have a valid receipt, they still take the repair. Plus from past experience it's worked out faster by having the manufacturer repair the item rather than a shop sending it to their central repair workshop.

All never in doubt, but it is the retailer's legal responsibility to ensure that the goods conform to contract, NOT the manufacturer's.

Though that said, if you contact the manufacturer, most have excellent repair services anyway.

Samsung have decided they arnt going to repair it because i havnt got the recipt(my mate still has it) and they rekon i should just take it back to the shop which is like impossible so i will try and get it repaired by post, anyone know any good websites? wish 3G done E900s now at least they have good service

Can't you get the receipt off your mate? Wouldn't that be more sensible?

It's also not an unreasonable request for a service provider to need proof of purchase, otherwise, you could not be the owner of the handset, etc etc, and in any case, Samsung aren't obliged to deal with you anyway, because you didn't buy it from them (from experience, they will though)...

these will repair it under warrenty without receipt
the age of the phone can be checked by the code on the sticker

Was it bought from a large retailer, Currys/Comet/Phones4u etc?

If so, it can be taken to any branch.
