Autopadding bug? (not just new version of SW)

I am not sure if this one has been mentioned before

My box is set for 10 mins after on the autopadding

I have a weekly repeat for Torchwood on BBC3

10:00 until 10:50 (9:59 until 11:00 including padding)

Last night I set Driving Lessons on ITV1 to record, 9:00 until 11:00

The box was off during the whole recording period

When I checked the recordings, the end padding of Driving Lessons had been ignored), So I had

Torchwood - 9:59 until 11:00
Driing Lessons 8:59 until 11:00

I know back to back recordings cause the start/end padding to be ignored, but should this have happened here

I am sure I have seen this on .08 so it isnt the new software

Are you sure there wasn't another scheduled recording that started at 11pm - on any channel? This would prevent the autopadding on Driving Lessons.

Yep, positive, no other events set yesterday

I just coudnt remember if this problem had been mentioned before

I thought padding was only dropped if the end of one programme is the same time as the start of another (back to back recording)

Just a hunch, but could it be a slight bug with tuner management?

Let's say TW was using tuner 1 and DL tuner 2; when TW finished, DL was switched to tuner 1, but because its scheduled stop time had arrived, it did just that - stop. In other words, the padding wasn't carried over from one tuner to the other.

I have just checked the tiimes, and they both finish at almost the same time (couple of seconds in it)

8:59 until 9:59 - One Tuner in use
9:59 until 11:00 - Both tuners in use

I cant really see a logical reason for this

Since padding was introduced, this has only happened twice, not a major prob, but as ITV often run late I was very lucky to get the end of it (by a matter of seconds)

Just me then

No one else has any problems with autopadding

I've nothing better to do, so I'll see if I can replicate your problem...

EDIT: right, that's two timers set - one to start at 12 and finish at 12.20, the other to start at 5 past and finish @ 12.30; 1min pre and 10mins post-padding.
