I have an TV that has only a normal coaxial aerial connection.

There is no direct method that will connect the two. ie you cannot simply plug a bit of wire into any of the sockets on the DVD and the other end into the TV and get it to work. Unfortunately you require some other electronics inbetween.
You need either.... A UHF Modulator or an old VCR with a SCART socket. Maplin do a UHF Modulator.. http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...050&&source=14 This plugs into the SCART socket on the DVD player and produces a UHF TV signal that you tune the TV into. Alternatively you could use an old VCR to perform this role. Simply plug the DVD into the SCART on the VCR, select the SCART input on the VCR and tune the TV into the VCR output. |
