Hollyoaks - Mandy's Back
http://www.hollyoaks.com/news_and_fe...ArticleID=1346
Mandy`s Back! 19 December 2006 Don't miss this week's HOLLYOAKS Radio - Sarah Dunn (Mandy) returns to join 'superfan' Holly and on-screen brother-in-law John Pickard (Dominic)! Breakdown Following the death of her baby Grace and the breakdown of her marriage to Tony, Mandy left HOLLYOAKS to start afresh. She had fallen in love with Tony's brother Dominic but soon realised that her love was unrequited. Now Mandy is set to make a brief return to HOLLYOAKS! So 'superfan' Holly grabbed Sarah Dunn (Mandy) and John Pickard (Dominic) to try and find out just why she returns in this week's HOLLYOAKS Radio... Villain Sarah and John talk about what happened between Dominic and Mandy before she left HOLLYOAKS. Were their characters really in love? And we find out who was the best kisser out of brothers Dom and Tony (John and Nick Pickard)! So make sure you listen to this week's HOLLYOAKS Radio to hear what Sarah and John have to say – and don't miss next week's show – our very own Christmas panto, 'Cinderella'! |

Found it
Sarah Jayne Dunn who played Hollyoaks sex siren Mandy Hutchinson has revealed she will return to the soap for 4 episodes early next year to bury a family member and tie up some loose ends with husband Tony. Speaking exclusively to Weekend the actress cites reasons of fresh challenges as her reason to depart the long running Channel 4 soap. Since leaving Hollyoaks Sarah has appeared in Doctors and has a small part in Brit flick 'My Perfect Easter'. Commenting on her return and whose funeral it will be she said "It's going to be great going back and seeing everyone again, I start back next week...as to who's funeral it will be, I believe all will be revealed at Christmas". |

To be honest, I think it makes a mockery of her well acted, emotional goodbye if she's back so soon. If a longtime character decides to leave, they shouldn't come back.
The writers hate Mandy even when she isn't in Chester! How often to past characters come back to bury their loved ones? Not often, but 'Oaks clearly never misses an opportunity to put a distraught Mandy on our screens.

God, why doesn't Mandy just kill herself? So what is this...Max dies and Mandy comes back to bury him and take Tom home with her, or vice versa - Tom dies and she takes Max with her?
Mandy is so unlucky, she is cursed. Her father abused her, her brother killed himself, her mother and step-father died in a car crash, her baby daughter died of cot death and now one (or both) of her younger brothers are going to die too? She's a death trap! |

I think it's really good she's back for this funeral. Everybody always moans about family not showing up for funerals (Michelle at Paulines or Mark's) so I think this is quite realistic. no matter how upsetting the goodbye was she would return to bury her brother. Good call Hollyoaks

I agree. Everyone moans about how soap writers never bring back the right people for funerals and the like. Now they are, and everyone's moaning about it! |

I'm glad this won't be yet another soap funeral where immediate family do not show up ![]() Quote:

I agree that it does make it more realistic that they have brought her back for the funeral. Its by far better than Liz Burton missing Mel and Sophie's funeral because she was to upset. If Mandy's coming back does that mean that Sindy and Jude will be back as well?
Also Jude and Sindy would be the perfect match for Claire |

I don't watch HITC so can someone fill me in please on what happened to Ben? Also, I didn't realise Liz Burton tried to kill herself? It doesn't seem to have been given much of a mention.

She was a fab character and played by a great actresses and had many dramatic storylines ,and for the record she was and still is a very sexy girl which I could look as good as her

She and Nick Pickard ( Tony ) were completely heartbreaking and fantastic throughout that entire storyline! You're the one who needs a kick I think coming onto a website and abusing people you've never even met... |
