What was it competing against in one of those years?

Homechoice then went on to take the coveted Grand Prix at the awards - acknowledging the best interactive entry to the awards this year.”
In 2004 it was:

“In 2004 we won an Interactive Bafta award for our V:MX Music service.”
There literally wouldn't have been any competition at all at that time.
Not fair to say it was described the best music service going without a few caveats surely?
It's pretty good, and was one of a kind until the cablecos released their VOD offering, however neither of them are anything that can't be replaced with a fast broadband connection and normal broadcast TV. Pay your money, take your choice
