K750i damaged
Hi all,
My SE K750i got damaged last night The lens cover has been dented quite badly and now doesn't activate the camera when opened... When trying to use the camera from the main menu it still thinks the lens cover is shut. Does anyone know if this is repairable or will i need a new back half of the case??Thanks in advance. |

it has either broken the litle switch inside the back cover (new ribbon assy needed) ir the back cover has broke.bent away from switch and is missing it
you will need to remove back cover to see waht the problem is. remove 2 small x head screws then it unclips around the edges see here: http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=1195 |

Thanks for the info.
I've managed to get the camera operating again by prising the lens cover away from the case and reseating it, probably more luck than judgement! So now the lens cover operates the camera as it should but is still a dented mess. Can this be replaced on its own or does the entire back need changing?? |

you cant get the shutter on its own, but if you remove the back of the phone you can remove it and straighten it. make sure you note how the spring fits before you remove the shutter.
you can get a copy housing for £5 on ebay |

O2 don't stamp phone casings (from other manufacturers) with their logo (unlike Orange and T-mobile where you have to have their gastly logo's on the phone for everyone to view, Yuck! Last edited by Garyo2 : 25-12-2006 at 15:03. |

people have to accustomed to having "cheap" phones, especially on contract. if you go to most other countries such as the states you still have to pay over the top for a contract handset, i think you do have to be a little more careful on payt, reason being is you are only covered by warranty and are unlikely to get a swaped handset back if something goes wrong.
i would never suggest something like an 8800 or top end nokia/smartphone as of the battery life unless you are in a position to be able to buy spares. |
