Poineer DVR 420 seamless editing

Hi can anyone help with video editing when cutting things like adverts there is a detectable pause in the video and audio I have talked to pioneer they are unable to help is there anyone out there who knows how to make this PVR do seamless editing?

Hi

There is always a pause when editing due to the way MPEG compression works.

You may have a setting in the menu for seemless transitions (not sure on that model) but this comes at the expense of accurate editing, i.e. your editing point will change slightly to make the transition seemless.

Seamless editing also adds a blank in the sound for a brief moment before the edit which is worse than the momentary pauses
