RTD is also talking about DW in MediaGuardian: saying that he wouldn't cast Ken Dodd because it:
"would convey the "wrong image", too redolent, perhaps, of the show's 1980s nadirs, when Dodd had a cameo"

Well at least he recognises the nadirs.

Is the Dr Who concert going to be on TV?

there is a episode of doctor who confidential on xmas day called music and monsters it has footage from the concert but i dont know if it all being shown

According to the BBC website it's going to be on at various times via the red interactive button over the Xmas/New Year period.
