Motorola W220 and Nokkia 6111

Have bought these 2 phones as christmas pressies (although reading reveiews for Nokkia one I am maybe regretting that!) and am at present charging them up.

The instructions do not mention charging time for first time use, and wondered what it looks like when fully charged? The motorola has a lighted icon when charging but after just 6 hours it is no longer lit. The Nokkia has a small battery icon scrolling, and again after 6 hours it shows full icon and no longer scrolling.

Does this mean they are both fully charged???

Looked around on their sites with no luck.

Any ideas?

Yes that means they are fully charged, but to get best life-time performance from the batteries it is suggested that the first time you charge them (even once the charging is comlete according to the phone) you should leave them on for up to 16 hours before use, although I only charged my phone for 2 hours and have never had problems. As they are gifts I'd leave them on for 16 hours to make sure nothing goes wrong for the lucky receivers

usually they tell you to leave it on charge for the 1st charge overnight even after it says charged.
although modern batteries may not require this anymore
