If SCD want a retired rugby player, If they could persuade Tony Underwood out of his cockpit, I reckon Arlene would go for him as well (or is it just me?). Bet Jonny gets asked as soon as he retires.

For non retired players what about Jason Robinson. He is quite light on his feet.

So would I-he's great and has a lovely personality. Think he'd be good at the ballroom-not sure about the Latin. I don't think it's likely as he's in the top 16 and it's at a busy time in the snooker season with the UK championship in Nov/Dec and other tournaments too. What about Jimmy White?

I agree Steve Davis is potentially a very good ballroom dancer. He'd cruise through the Waltz and the Tango et al. If the Beeb approach him and were to say he'd be a very popular choice he could be swayed. As for the latin I could see him producing a decent paso doble.

Plus I could see him being popular with Arlene and I think Len would be encouraging

Jimmy White, the only dancer you could put him with is Lilia

For this year, if he get's picked he'll be busy with the rugby World Cup during the start of Strictly.

I quite like the idea of Jo Whiley, she kind of has a "too cool for school" thing going on and I suspect tales of heer training will make for good radio listening,

I always liked the idea of Sara Cox too.

Can't stand Sara Cox, but Jo Whiley I'm liking, she's fairly tall I think, so probably paired with Ian or maybe James.

In the 'aint ever gonna happen' catagory, but could you imagine how beautiful Cate Blanchet would look floating around in a ballroom gown
