I would love to see Richard Armitage on next years Strictly. I saw him last night on the Christmas special of "The vicar of Dibley". He is gorgeous!

Oh great suggestion Aeryn, he'd so suit the Tango. Those brooding eyes boring into you.... *swoons*

Could be interesting!! But Tess' opening 'dance' with Brucie still looks naff and she's been doing it every week so would she be akin to Georgina in the dancing stakes??

I read somewhere that he likes to dance, especially the Latin, so he would definitely be perfect for next years Strictly. Oh dear producers of Strictly,,.....please, please, PLEASE get Richard Armitage on SCD next year!

That wasn't anything to do with Bill's age, though, part of it was to do with an allergic reaction to the dressing on his original injury, which could have happened to anyone.
I understand the point you're making though, and I agree that it's probably a bad idea for some older celebrities to take part (like Jimmy).

I once saw a guy with the black hair and blue eyes, when I was in a shop, I turned around and looked straight at him,....I thought I was struck with lightning!

They only seem to have soap stars on who have recently left or been axed.

Bill's ankle injury was nothing to do with his age - it was an accident coupled with an allergic reaction and a refusal to rest it - that could have happened to anyone.

YIKES! I surely hope not! I so don't like him! If they want a cricketer get Tuffers, Alec Stewart or Nasser Hussain, but not Warne!

As we had Matt Dawson this year, next year they just have to have Ally McCoist.

maybe, but most sports stars may think that they are to manly to dance!

Completely agree - and I am a 'lady of a certain age'. Also Anton deserves someone hot - I reckon his easygoing personality is exploited and he always gets duff middle-aged partners.

The celebs need to be lively, fit, prepared to work quite hard and commit a huge amount of time and effort, without susbequently moaning on about it! They mustn't have too much ego and must remember that the programme is about dancing and not about THEM. These days a lot of us prefer the pro dancers anyway

A cheerful and upbeat personality is pretty useful. However hard it gets (and I appreciate its incredibly hard work) the celebs are a) getting paid and b) having their 'profiles' increased hugely. So quit the moaning (Jan and Carol! Always the women, isn't it?!)

Shayne Warne
David Walliams
Dennis Bergkamp
Richard Hammond

Nicole Appleton
Fiona Bruce
Paula Radcliffe
Billie Piper

Agree Anton should get someone he might have a chance of winning with, although we thought that with Patsy.

But with Ally and Matt on opposing teams on Question of Sport, it would introduce some good-natured rivalry, and as Matt has already been there, done that, it would more than likely ensure that Ally also has to confront those self-same demons.

Borris Johnson. Now that would be entertainment
