New to MP3 HELP!!

Forgive me for being really ignorant but we need some advice, please.Hubby has got a mobile phone with an MP3 player on it.I have a computer, but only Windows 98 and dial up.

Is there any way we can load some of the tracks from our existing CDs on to the phone, just a few favourites? We have the leads involved,I think! We are not bothered at this stage about downloading tracks, that will come later when i maybe get a new computer and broadband.

Been trying to find out from the internet but we need it in simple terms!!The phone is a Virgin lobster 544 .

Best bet is to import them onto your PC first. Preferably use a programme like itunes that allows you to import them as MP3.

Then go to the folder they are stored in [usually my music, itunes] , then transfer them either by USB lead supplied with the phone or if you have bluetooth adaptor and your phone is bluetooth compatible, send them that way. I guess the first option will most suit your needs.

using itunes or windows media player you can rip your CDs to your computer as mp3s.

then you need to connect up the phone to your pc and transfer them over.

Thank you very much, both of you for your suggestions. We will certainly give it a try and let you know how we get on.

5 years ago i said "what will I use a computer for? "

3 years ago i said "what do i need the internet for?"

Now it would take a bomb to separate me from both..............

Exactly! Technology is a wonderful thing and even better when others share their knowledge with you.
