Digital Camera question/help!
Thanhuk

Hello everyone,

Looking through websites (and ebay) for a new digital camera has led me to this little bargain:

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/122835

However, I have one question before I go ahead and get it - how many batteries does it require (does anyone know?).
I've tried looking on the Canon website to find nothing!

Thanks

Why look on Canon when its a Goodmans? lol

Anyways, for that price you can't really complain.

What sort of photography do you want to do? Just the usual family/friend pics, or some proper photography?

That camera will probably do you for your bsic shots, but not if you want to take more pro shots and such.

Sorry! It was the Goodmans site - I was looking at the Canon site when I was typing.

Well, my current camera produces results like this: http://twmleahall.fotopic.net/p37202615.html

So, anything that can do the same (about 3.2 pixels) and is cheap, and does not require too many batteries - then its fine!

You can get two cameras with the same number of megapixels and they can take totally different images...

Thanhuk, the particular camera that you're considering doesn't seem to be listed on the Goodman's site. Is it an old model?

However, the G-SHOT3029TFT (which may well be similar) uses 3 x AAA batteries.

My parents have this digital camera, its very nice but does get through batteries at an alarming rate. I would say the camera at £17 is deffinately older stock.

Ah I got you. I do know that with some cameras, you can turn off the LCD screen and it does save alot of power (my current one does this). Do you know if you can do this with this one?
And does it take 3x AAA bat's as Sigurd has found?

These are just my last 2 concerns before I do anything else.

at that price i can't see it being any good, but may do for just taking simple pics.

all depends on the quality of the cmos sensor.
