My HX910 claims to be able to play audio MP3s on a CDROM (it does) and display JPEG images on a data DVD. Irritatingly it doesn't recognise a Data DVD with MP3s, even if the DVD is created with an ISO9660 CDROM filesystem
Yesterday I copied 3GB of JPEG images onto a data DVD-R, and put it in the player. After a long wait at a flashing "LOAD" it displayed the (error?) code F51 (which isn't in the manual, surprise...
). Selecting Title List gave me a partial list of images and subdirectories, I'd guess around 2GB or so, but just stopped part-way through. Those that it listed could be displayed OK.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? I created the DVD image using the "mkisofs" program in the cdrtools package, and I know that it has limitations in it's UDF filesystem creation, so I'm guessing that the problem is there somewhere, but if anyone's found an alternative explanation or a fix I'd appreciate some info.
The DVD-R that was created does load fine on various PCs and Unix systems, so all the info is there.
