Beko 14.2series 28" wide Purple/Green pic...Degauss menu?

I have a Beko 14.2 Series 28" widescreen tv. For the past 2 years (almost exactly!) it's been fine, I switched on this morning and the picture looks as though I've had it sat next to a massive magnet overnight. I've tried turning it off for a while the on again but I can't cure the problem.

Is there an engineers menu that can be accessed to degauss the set or has the tube failed?

If it helps the picutre is a good as always just purple and green tinged.

Are you actually turning off the mains or putting it in to standby?

If the former the degauss thermistor has probably failed. An easy enough repair for a TV repair shop.
