The Stranglers
Anyone know what these are upto.
Personally, I think they were/are the most underrated band from the past 30 years. All sorts of bands have came out of the woodwork and said what a influence they were. I just wondered what the average music fan/ gig goer actually thought/thinks of them. As Pete waterman once said " The 2 most influential british bands were The Beatles and The Stranglers" Your thoughts please.......

Hmmm...Id say that The Sex Pistols and The Clash were more of an influence than The Stranglers. I did like them a lot, but Id hesitate to call them a huge influence.
Id say the 2 most influencial British bands were The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. Between them then reinvented pop and rock respectivly. Third biggest UK influence, the Sex pistols, punk was basically a hybred of pop and metal, with a social message. But as always, its just my opinion and open to debate.

Opinion appreciated.
Remember hearing Jet Black saying the pistols regularly asked advice, drum patterns etc, the Clash, loved the first 2 albums and they had a great following also. |
