Hi
My kids have just got a samsung e900 and software that allows you to cut mp3 files and thats what I am stuck on.

Can anyone tell me how to convert these spliced tunes into ringtone I have fumbled about with the software but to no avail.

Yes got the disk and leads but where I am not picking this up is do I splice a wave or mp3 file and how long do you splice it ie 15 , 20 ,25 seconds

And then finally what format do you save to the phone wav , mp3 , amr ,or aac I nknow I sound like a cretin but a simple tutorial from samsung would have helped

To make an mp3 ringtone you will need a short mp3 file which you send to the phone using the supplied leads/software. Don't worry about the length.

as long as the file is an audio format then you will be able to use it as a ringtone with the e900, i transfered an entire mp3 and made that my ringtone.

Length is immaterial. Remember the phone will play complete songs. Chop it using the provided software. I've cut down a few songs for the relevant bits. Save as MP3 to a folder of your choice and download via Bluetooth or the USB. The E900 saves it in its Music folder.
If you have problems the help section on the Samsung PC Studio 3 will give you step by step instructions.
