HDMI equivilent connections?
I have an HDTV with only one HDMI port which is already being used for Sky HD.
I'd like to invest in an upscaling DVD recorder but it's probably not worth it if I only end up connecting by scart. Does anyone know if there is a different type of connection I can use that gives the same quality as HDMI? Cheers everyone. |

Your TV upscales SD and might be capable of doing a better job than paying for another DVD player, that aside pulling PAL/NTSC progressive from a DVD player via component can bring benefits over RGB scart.
The benefit of HDMI is in keeping the signal in the digital domain and the same for DVI, if you have a DVI input which supports HDCP then you can use that. |
