I have just bought the above DVD Recorder and cannot work out how to record from my Sky+ box via my TV with a single scart socket.

The Sony website was no help and the instruction book no better - any advice or pointers much appreciated

The Sky+ box has 2 SCARTS - one will go to your TV and the other one needs to connect to your DVD recorder. On your DVD remote, you need to select whatever either Line 1, 2 or 3 depending on which SCART socket is connected from the Sky + box. (Mine is Line 3 on my 860). By selecting this line the recorder should record from the Sky + box rather from the TV station currently being viewed. Play the programme you want to record or use COPY from the Sky Plus Guide. Press record SONY and record-stop when you've finished.
