I am about to get a 32" LCD TV (Toshiba 32WLT68)
and a PVR (Sony RDRHXD1065)

Does anyone have any advice on connecting them?
Are there any superior scarts/RGBs (or anything else) we could use to maximise how they work together?
Any tips for connecting them?
Anything to improve picture quality?
(my hubbie and I are not very technical...)

Make sure they are connected via scart, the one supplied will probably be ok. Make sure both the PVR output and the TV input are RGB.

The PVR should be set as 16:9 and scart control enabled. The TV should be set to auto or 4:3 (depends on TV details I'm not familiar with your model) to allow automatic switching between 4:3 and 16:9.

The LCD will probably come set up to bright and with colour settings to high. Set these to about their mid-points and then adjust from there to your own tastes.

Please dont go for the Sony PVR, they are VERY noisy and not that good for the price - Had to return mine and the sales assistant told me they were getting almost all they sold returned.
Get the Humax PVR9200 instead, it looks great on my LCD TV via scart
