hxd860 divx playback

I'm thinking about this recorder but spotted the following comment on Amazon;

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The main one, is my divx/xvid files all play in a postage stamp screen with borders all around the image (not just top and bottom).
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Can anyone comment on this or provide further info ?

Can it be made to play divx files fullscreen ? ?

TIA.

I bought a HXD860 for my parents for Christmas, and had a bit of a play with it at their house. It seems like a very nice bit of kit, but when I played some divxs they did appear to be very small / postage-stamp sized.

I didn't have much time to experiment, but it seems the recorder doesn't 'zoom' the image to fill the screen, so the size image you see depends on the resolution of the divx file - which is crazy!

I've been trying to do some research on the internet about this, but haven't had much luck finding any other information as yet.

Thanks a lot for that Sype, I'll give it a go. When I tried plying Divxs before, I was using DVD+Rs, so maybe using DVD-Rs will help.
