Predictions
I just watched the auditions down to 32 on itv2 and it may be completely unfair on those people in the UK, but does anyone have any predictions for final 10/winner?
I would say that Frenchie( i think that's her name) will get into the final 10 if not be in the last few. She has an amazing voice and the strength of her personality is amazing. |

Frenchie definately, as well as Julia - she had a really good voice. those two really struck me with their voices.
none of the boys really struck me, there were one or two but i cant remember their names. i'll watch the rest of AI tomoro (videoed the last bit) and give my verdict then.

My top favourite from tonight was Julia DeMato...she has an incredible voice and strikes me as a decent person, not one who has her head up her ass
No surprises that she is in the same semi final as Kimberley Caldwell, who is too much like Anastacia for my taste and fell down in the personality stakes too!Frenchie and Kimberley are also fantastic and I hope they separate them in the semis rather than have 'em both together and have the vote split Of the guys I really rated Ruben Studdard and I also like how Patrick Lake, the rocker, got through. I hope he does well, but in these uncertain times you can be sure that marine Joshua Gracin will be in the final stages Of course there are others who haven't been featured as heavily and I hope for a Will Young like revelation over the coming weeks, even if I can't vote! |

US Marine Josh and Reuben struck me as good, while gal-wise I'm rooting for Frenchie and Julie D'Amato.
:'( :'( :'( But why oh why didn't we get to see Keith's audition. As the "worst in the world" surely we could have shared the experience? |

yeh i no - all we saw of keith was a 3 second clip! the clip was quite funny, but would have been good if we could have seen it properly.
Yeh i forgot about the US Marine guy - he was good, im rooting for him too. |

I just went to the fox ai2 webpage and it had a bit of biography about each contestant- frenchie davis's made me even more sure about the prediction I made earlier, she seems like such a nice person.

Just reading the AI official sit, Julie deMato is in the first group of 8, together with Kimberly, one of the girls who "tried" to lose her and kept her hanging around all night.
Also up is J D (I'm the descendant of 2 presidents) Adams. I'm rooting for Julie over Kimberley anytime. |

yeh sames for me. i dont know if its just the way the camera portrayed her, but, i think Kimberley comes across as being a bit arrogant....maybe i'm wrong. Julia seems to really want to be american idol and seems quite genuine. i didnt blame her for going and practicing on her own - i would have done the same.
although i wouldnt be suprised if both get through. |

frenchie is my prediction for the winner.she looks great and sounds like a young aretha franklyn...... brilliant.
as for the julie / kimberley saga......definately julie over kimberley. i would imagine she has lost the vote of most americans with her unkind attitude ..... shame 'cos she has a good voice.

Just watching the repeats, I was struck with what a good voice the rocker bloke Patrick Lake has. He's very different from the boy band cute type that I bet SC wants, Si's face watching him was a study of "O god, dont let him make it" but he was great. Randy and Paula must've gagged Si, because he's through to the final 32, so I'm rooting for him too. Wonder which ones will completely screw up during the heats? I still remember Scott Sadari (Will's week) and little Oliver. They were SO out of their depth even though they got through to the final 50.
