Connect tv dvd & sky

Got to try to sort out in-laws entertainment equipment later, they have panasonic tv with only 1 scart socket, sky receiver with 2 scart sockets and a toshiba dvd recorder/video combi with 2 scart sockets.

They want to be able to watch one tv channel whilst recording another to dvd. I'd be ok if the tv had 2 scart sockets, but am wondering if this setup is possible. If any use i have a scart adapter that i can use.

Thanks in advance for any advice

I suggest

VCR/DVDR (AV1) --> (VCR SCART) Sky (TV SCART) --> (AV) TV

Of course they will only ever be able to record one Sky channel and watch an analogue terrestial channel or vica verca with the kit they have now. To record from Sky set the source on the VCR/DVDR to AV1. I assume a terrestial RF aerial will also be connected to both the VCR/DVDR and daisy-chained through to the TV.
