RDR-HXD860 EPG splitting of programmes?
Motopaki

Could anyone explain a problem I've had with recording using a RDR-HXD860, and it's Sony EPG?

This evening I tried to record film on Chan 5 - 'Adaption'. Press listing showed it to be 2100 - 2315. So on EPG clicked on the programme, and away it went.

Coming back to see how things were, recorder had stopped. Film on EPG was split into 2100 - 2150 - grey square, then started again at 2200 - 2300.

Why should a film split (or was previously split) into 3 segmens? No news break or anything.

Thanks.

The press listing was wrong - there was a news break for ten minutes at 22.00 ( I think) and the EPG showed this - you needed to set the machine to record the film as 2 separate events, either side of the news.

(I know, because I fell into exactly the same trap!).

I don't know how long the EPG holds "past" data, but as of now (10.50 AM 1st Jan) you can page back on the EPG and see that the news break was listed...
