Costs of calling a ported Three number
If you have a number originally from Three, but then port it to another network (T-mobile), are callers charged the rate for calling a Three number or the rate for calling the T-mobile?
I am asking as the rates for calling a Three mobile are much higher than those of other mobile networks. Thanks for any help. |

You should be charged for the network rate you've ported the number to not from. If you're being over charged call the network and tell them.

You will be charged for a call to whichever network the number is on at the time of the call.
Regardless of whether it started out as a 3 number, it is now a T-Mobile number, and you will be charged accordingly. |

Yes, as other posters have said you'll be charged the price to T-Mobile. However, it used to be the case where you were charged the price to the previous network. It's no longer like that now

![]() I have double checked this today and it is certainly the case at the moment, however "3" are the cheapest to call at weekends, but the most expensive in the week (as at 02/01/07) |

My sister ported her number from Orange to T-Mobile and all her calls are charged at T-Mobiles rate not Orange's. If you have ported your number from 3 to another network and still being charged a fortune to call another number on the same nework you need to let your new provider know ASAP.

It seems it depends if calling from mobile or landline:
