Indoor ariel
My niece has jus moved to new house but it has no tv ariel fitted on the roof. She has no cash to pay someone to fit one and I dont and I cant do it myself cos Ihave no ladders (and I hate heights). Just wondering if anyone could recommend a good indoor ariel. It is really high up where she lives and I dont think sky or cable are available in that area. Even people with proper ariels cant recieve channel 5. Any advice would be great, even if anyone kn ows any way to improvise with other items to make some sort of ariel haha

Try the post code checker on the Freeview web site.
Freeview has weak signals [compared with analogue], so this means that indoor aerials often fail to find a signal, or if they do, its "borderline" resulting in picture breakup. Not being able to get analogue Channel 5 is no indication of the Freeview signal strength. For example, all of the South Coast (or most of it anyway) has zero Channel 5 coverage on analogue, but much of the same area does get Freeview (and therfore the Freeview version of Channel 5 as well).
