Hi all,
I purchased one of these from Argos for my sons Christmas present.
It works fine apart from one thing. On dark scenes there is vertical banding that can be seen on the screen. This is present on both recorded and live programs. It is not present on the TV if watching analog TV or DVD, so it must be the box.
I'm assuming that the box must be faulty, but before I take it back to the shop I thought I would just mention it on here incase anybody else has seen this and found a cure?
Thanks!

It might be worth trying another scart cable before you take the Digihome back. Ensure the cable is of the individually screened type rather than just an overall screen to avoid crosstalk effects from the tuner inside the TV. This could be the vertical banding you describe. As a rule the individually screened cables are fatter at around 12mm in diametre.

I noticed vertical lines when I was watching a cave scene in Ice Age on ITV 1 last week.

I've since noticed the lines on all pictures on ITV 1 and recently on Channel 4.

I was quite happy with the 2 week old box up until then, apart from the looks.

I've just took it back for a refund and since someone else has now reported the vertical lines, I didn't ask for a replacement.
