i have been on contract for under a month and the only services i use are tv and msn and in the last few days i have gone from £30 to £45.50 and the only service i have been using is msn. i seem to bee getting charged £2.50 a min for using it i was just wondring has this happen to any one else and what should i do 3 customer service is doing nothing about it and its very anoying i got told free msn for life.

Call customer services and ask them to look at the usage on your account. They can see a breakdown of all the charges on the account (even before the bill is created). Anything that is charged, they will be able to see what you have been charged for.

Best thing to do is - you may not like this - is call customer service again. However, first get them to confirm that; a) you've got msn running on your account, and b) that it's free to use. Only then mention the charges appearing on My3, and if they say "Internet" again say "but msn's free - you just told me". I'll admit that sounds tedious, but its basically what I did when I first had problems with My3 (I just confirmed my tariff with them) and they were fine, albeit after trying the Orange thing - "oh, just wait for your bill" - and a squabble about VAT (don't ask, lol ).

One Question; Did you download your MSN client direct from 3 or are you using a non-microsoft approved app such as mig33?

With mine, msn is totally free. I do use it, not a lot, but mainly to view my e-mails as it is my main e-mail client. I've been with 3 for about 4 months now and have only been charged for the content outside my alllowance. These items are things like premierscores and mobile tv.
I get 30MB per month which is adequate for browsing though most of the content on Planet 3 is free to access and is not included in your browsing. While other sites do not charge, such as the bbc, the provider (3) does charge as the content is outside of allowances. |

Did you get your phone from a shop, or did you get it directly from 3? If you got it from a shop, try going in there and see if they can sort the problem out for you. |

Is that £30 per month but you're getting it for £15. If you are it says on the website it's free. I wouldn't have thought that it would matter which tariff you were on though. You should go into the 3 shop you got it from, for them to sort it out. |
