Oh no, I'm exactly the same. I thought Face was cute when I was a kid and I wasn't that bothered when Dirk first got into the house (my b/f was more excited).
But the older he is the better, i'm obsessed

Hahaha..same thing with me. My boyfriend was more excited to see him going into the house but by the end of big brother i was the more excited one.

I'm the same, I don't usually find older men attractive and Dirk is definitely an exception. I remember thinking he was gorgeous in BG and The A Team but that was it. I was intrigued when I saw he was in the CBB house but I never expected to fall hook line and sinker.
He was the only interesting one most of the time in the CBB house and I could listen to him talk all day. All the truly laugh out loud moments were down to him, he was so humourous. But all the best conversations centered around him too. I wish we could have picked which housemate to listen in on.

I'm pretty sure I saw Dirk in a short interview on the old Liquid News programme and he seemed very outgoing and a bit nuts, but in a good way. He has certainly been a revelation to me so I have to thank CBB for that, although I don't forgive them for their terrible editing of him and for letting the coven get away with all the bitching they did about him. Most people that watched just the h/lights don't know all that went on in the house as regards Dirk and they criminally wasted a brilliant housemate.

They should have two BB's for me, one that caters to people that enjoy confrontation etc and a parallel universe type one where maybe we really could have seen more of Dirk enjoying adult conversations and seen him having much more fun too.

A friend of mine had to go there to help rescue the birds covered in oil and she was telling me how the beach was left in a terrible state with people ripping the boxs open throwing the packing hear there and every where ,seeing peoples belongings that were shiped abroad riffled through people took what they wanted and disgarded the rest,and the people who lived locally had there dustbins tipped out and the bins stolen just so these people had something to carry away their swag in, also the Green recyle bins were taken as well because people could get more in them she said it was heartbreaking to see what these people had done to the town,

Did anyone else notice that most of the women in the house ie Carole, Cleo, Jo always talked about Dirk, Dirk, Dirk and some more Dirk. They were obessed with him in that house and clearly all of them fancied him. And the funny thing was he never paid any attention to them except to Shilpa and clearly the other women were jealous especially *cough* psycho Cleo.

I was reading her column/journalistic efforts on Dirk ( one out of ten for trying, Carole ) she is one bitter 2 bit gossip columnist isn't she? She seems to forget we saw her and Cleo and their bit**iness in and out the CBB5 house.

Yeah and Cleo didn't fancy him..... if that's her real opinion then she's more daft than she looks.

He was very slick in his earlier years, he's now a bit more relaxed and such a cool dude at 62.

In regards to Dirk's age - i will always be a Face girl but i've seriously never fancied anyone over the age of 40 before and yet 61 yr old Dirk had me mesmerised - what a guy!

Sigh!! This reminds me of way-back-when they were running repeats of "Battlestar" and my two best friends and I would closet ourselves in my bedroom to watch. We were supposed to be studying but all we were doing was lusting after Starbuck, with big soppy grins on our faces - lost in a lascivious fantasy as we contemplated the strategic placement of all the buckles on his uniform and wondered who the lucky blighter was who got paid to help pour him into it! Happy days!

No-one took any notice of Apollo at all, incidentally. He appeared as a guest in tonight's episode of the dreary new Battlestar. He has not aged well.

The cookery shows have been awash with miso soup today. I had hoped to see Dirk on "Saturday Kitchen", showing the adorable James how to cook healthy food!

She is absolutely vile! Not just what she said about Dirk (probably fuming that she couldn't get another biography deal, Dirk writes far better than she ever could), but also the vitriol against Ian, who was a genuinely sweet guy who made a point of nominating the bullies, even if he was too wimpish to stand up to them face to face.

Plus, if Dirk won't go for 'women over 25 with brains', how come he made a beeline for Shilpa (31 and very intelligent and feisty with it)? OK she was 10 times more beautiful than any other woman in the house... but still.

Malone is a spiteful woman who makes a living out of writing things she wouldn't dare say to peoples' faces.
