Well, it is a teeny tiny bit shorter than the uncut Stand, but once I started I couldn't stop.

And yes speedy, I bought it from ereader.com, though I will get it as a real book if I can.

the irony is that 'the stand' was intended to be Stephen Kings take on 'the book of revelations' and ended up being longer than the whole of the new testement put together.....

I liked Cell (I like them all), but my favourite has gone from The Stand to Bag of Bones. I've read that over and over.

The Stand will always be my favorite SK book, I think, but I also loved IT, Misery, The Girl Who Loved Tom Gorden and The Green Mile series.....for some reasons I never quite warmed to Bag of Bones.

He's published so many of them and I keep meaning to get them all again and do a big reread, but I think it would take the rest of my life.

I know, it's incredable, how does he do it?

I also loved his short stories of Shawshank and Stand By Me (though the directors took them to the next level). The best adaption of KIng's work bar none...

Fine thanks. I'm still dropping in on Digital Spy now and again, but I'm trying to catch up on all the stuff I should have been doing while I was watching Dirk sleeping.

If you had to pair off Dirk with a former BB HM, which one would it be? (excluding Shilpa).

hmm...interesting question.

If it wasn't for the fact Anna (BB1) was a lesbian, I'd say her, similar sense of humour and quite compatable personality.

I think he'd have enjoyed the company of Traci Bingham (CBB4)
