As I'm working from home for the next fortnight, I'm watching at 10.00am. Then I watch Bravo +1 at 11.00am. Then I watch at 6.00pm and then, an hour later...
Only joking! (Well, nearly.) Seriously, though, I was delighted to finally listen to the Jonathan Ross interview. It was exactly as I thought it would be. Jonathan was talked to a standstill and then it developed into serious sparring. Just like listening to a sword fight between Errol Flynn and Basil Rathbone - each vying to outdo the other, with Jonathan becoming increasingly desperate and Dirk in first gear only. I don't think he'll be inviting Dirk onto his TV show any time soon. Too much stiff competion and he was in danger of being seriously outclassed! (Dirk will need to come with a disclaimer attached, however. He's outrageous! The suits at the Beeb would be walking on coals the entire time.) Great stuff! I could have done without the rotten music and the news, though. (Kilroy-Silk hauled over the coals for making politically incorrect statements. Nothing changes! Doncha just love it?)
With a mouth on him like that, Dirk simply must run for Governor. How can he fail? He's even survived his first international incident - and, apart from being interrogated by the police and attempting to recruit a harem, he emerged with great credit!
Revealing comments about Richard Hatch on Battlestar. (He was originally short-listed to play Luke Skywalker.) No wonder he wrote Starbuck out completely when he tried to bring Battlestar back. He paled into insignificance when Starbuck quickly hijacked the entire show! He was very serious about it and Dirk was never serious at all! It must have been infuriating.
Welcome, Bea! Hope you enjoy it here.
