Yep, Cleo has lost it!

Odd show that......

Caught a bit of the Hl show, mainly cos my mate texted me to say 'what the hell are Bb trying to do to dirk?'

I think they are trying to get everyone away to let Shilpa win, which I do not have a problem with, as she is as worthy as anyone, but the part I saw was a very bad edit for Dirk (and going by threads here it is for the forum too), even though, quickly reading through threads the last day as I hace, I thought I read that Cleo was awful to Dirk yesterday too, behind his back, but I didn't see any of that in the 40 odd minutes I saw?

Sad they (C4) are trying to get the 'face' out to save 'face', as it were.

But tbh, after this series, I will enver believe anything I see on Bb again. I thought I got most of it, but now we know they 'get' to them in the diary room too and don't show it, hence losing the 'not knowing what is going on with the outside world thing' I don't know if I can be bothered with it anymore.

Quite glad I can't see it actually. I was meant to go home today but am needed a few more days.

Just glad Dirk has made it as far as he has, and think he will go far on this show, not that I think he cares.

Really peed off tonight, sorry for the downer. Probably peed off I cannot get on here alot and put people right on other threads who are seemingly believing EVERTHING the HL show show's too.

I am so peed off for Dirk, such a funny, nice, genuine guy. They seem to show his few bad points and not so much his good ones.

Thanks Muttley, I guess I feel so useless, and a terrible supporter, only getting on here whenever I can connect the work laptop to a power pointy thing, which is not often!!!

I want to hug Dirk.

The frustration of watching this is killing me!

It's so close so intimate, it's there in your living room and yet you can't get in there and do anything. You feel like you're suffering along with them and yet are helpless to intervene.

I've never had such a frustrating couple of weeks in my life wanting to get at the coven and stop their harassment of Shilpa and now Dirk.

We CAN back Dirk when the voting lines open. He'll see he is appreciated.

I'd put my house on Shilpa not being nominated for eviction. They won't want to come across as bullies or as people who dislike her, as they already know why Jade went out the way she did. I think Dirk will beat anyone he comes up against and that'll give him the boost he needs to see this thing out.

It would be a travesty if Dirk left before Cleo, Jo, Jack and Danielle.

I think Jack will be up for nomination. Housemates will take the easy option and go down the "he wants to be home with Jade" route.

Dirk is a cert for nomination.

Yes, I do get cross and think I will giveup where certain comments are made on the forum.

Not starting anymore threads either as it is pointless, they always go to page 15 in 2 minutes. Probably as they are crap too. Taking a backseat as Dirk would not care, and would tell us not to get worked up, so I will take my lead from him.

Will just carry on with the Dirk love in my vibes and read here and bugger the rest.

I can't see much point in trying to defend Dirk on other threads, Coody, although I do get your frustration of it all

First off, most who start the anti Dirk threads, but obviously not all, usually never liked Dirk to start with and so tend to pick up on the slightest thing, hoping to persuade others in following their train of thinking and then gain a little following. Especially if it takes the heat of the celeb they support. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. For that reason now, I tend to ignore such threads and hope they just fall off the first page. Some will know that some BB fans will only get to see the highlights show and so rely on that fact to sometimes put a misleading take across to them on such threads

Sometimes you are much better off starting threads on the clique in the CBB5 house, diverting the heat to there, and diminish the anti Dirk threads in the process. Or even better, just a few nice pro Dirk threads, of which we have a few already anyway

Second is we can only do our best to ensure Dirk stays in if he is up for the vote. But it is only a show and I reckon Dirk would be quite happy even if he got voted off. I don't think he will be overly bothered. His fans will probably be more bothered than Dirk if he doesn't make the final.

So chin up all, let's do our best, and also hope BB grow some ..., and stop showing Dirk in a splintered view on the highlights show and bring the clique to task. I can't see it happening, but we can only but hope

Let's just keep supporting Dirk whilst he is in there

I wouldn't worry about the anti-dirk threads at all. My impression is that the overwhelming majority support Dirk over the events of the last couple of days, even if they're not rooting for him to win. Dirk is still in with a fighting chance.

I absolutely agree. I think such threads for the most part are best left ignored. Much better to start constructive Dirk threads when appropriate

I'd love to see Dirk win but I can't see any other winner than Shilpa. If she wins the heat will be off C4 and Endemol so I expect the edit of the HL to continue as they are. At least if Dirk doesn't win he'll lose to someone he likes, Shilpa or possibly Jermaine. Cleo's surely out of the running now even her supporters seem to be conceding. Only about 20 posts on her appreciation thread in the last 4 days and a lot sound defeated. Go Dirk.

But he wouldn't care, and would tell me not to worry so I won't. I do try and start constructive threads for him, have the last two nights, as had no time to see if any were repeated, but they disappear, as I say, they are crap anyway...and I do try and avoid Anti threads of his. But I am just as cross with C4 for showing just his moody bits (which he is within his rights to have) and left out 90% of the one liner thread!

But you are right, I just hate to see a good person brought down for no reason but jealousy and greed...really off to bed now, apart from one last post.

Reagarding this weeks eviction : Im hoping that since Danielle and Jo discussed who they nominated they may be up for eviction...i guess thats too much to hope for really isn't it?

Did anyone watch BBBM last night? Both Sam Fox and Dom (from Dick and Dom) were backing Dirk over Cleo. They also showed a clip of the dancing task from what i saw Dirk was getting well into it and even doing a bit of Dirky freestyling! Saying that though he fails! Pesky BB!

I had an early night last night, so i missed it, but i did see the rehersal's earlier...hopfully we'll see it on the hl's tonight.

Ok, maybe I am reading too much into this, but just lately they fail Dirk on a few things. Maybe they are trying to wear him down, same as Cleo and her clique, or maybe I am wrong. I think they want them to pass some tasks, so would have passed them on that anyway.

But Dirk was better than quite a few of them at the joke and task dance, and I am sure a few more probably failed also, they probably want Dirk down and also out now they can make him look bad in the highlights show if they have him miserable, even if it is only for a short time he is down. It's like he is the scapegoat for them.

totally agree...those anti-dirk threads disappear as fast as they come up. I'm just thankful that at last people are waking up to the notion of the sad bint that is Cleo.

Dirk is naturally witty and charming...he doesn't have to go into a box and prove anything.

Dirk reminds me a lot of jack dee (who won the very first celeb bb) - they have a lot in common:
both smoked cigars,
are hilariously self depreciating,
both have very dry wits,
both have epsiodes of being grumpy old men
both said that life in the house was intolerable (oh why did i do this show etc)
both are very sarcastic
and both said they dont want to win..........

The uk love this type of self condescending personality .... especially when they are being grumpy/hilarious.... we cant quite figure them out so they become a source of constant amusement......

btw has anyone seen lead balloon - its just wicked funny

You are right

Plus didn't Dirk say he would like to do some comedy, and Jack is himself a comedian, so another thing in common there

I can certainly see similar character traits between the two now that you mention it.
I love how Dirk doesn't try and suck up to anyone, he's just completely himself.


Btw - i was thinking of creating a livejournal community for Dirk so we could post pic's etc maybe a DIRK DAILY sort of thing. Anyone interested?

I see the gang have failled in their attempts to grind Dirk down into a gibbering angry psychotic mess. Watching a bit of the LF as they sit around nominating, he seems in good humour inspite of Jo persistenly treating him with barely concealed contempt.

I think he is happier, as he is hoping to get enough nominations be up and evicted. So if they say he is up for the vote this week, I reckon it will bring a smile to his face even if not to his fans

Agreed, Dirk just wants out of there, I think he really regrets going in, but he is a man of principle and honour and will not walk, no matter how bad the situation gets.

I want Dirk to win and i still think he can, but I very much fear that C4/Endemol will do their absolute utmost to ensure Shilpa wins now, due to some misguided notion that a Shilpa victory will get them off the hook. If that happens, i will still be happy so long as Dirk and Jermaine also get proper acclaim when they leave the house.
