Hi Dirketts Just read this on line from the Daily Star dont normally take notice of what they have to say but wonder if there is any truth to it
Exposed: Plot to save Big Brother's neck
23/01/07
EXCLUSIVE

BIG Brother bosses are bidding to save their show from the axe by fixing it for Shilpa Shetty to win.

Desperate producers have devised a 10-point plan to rescue BB from the race storm.

An insider said: “The show has never faced so much controversy or found itself in so much trouble.

“But if Shilpa wins it will send out a message that the programme hasn’t been dominated by racism.

“Hopefully a victory for Shilpa will calm the fury over her treatment and quiet down calls for Big Brother to become history.”

The plan leaked to The Daily Star involves:
*Editing highlights to show Shilpa, 31, laughing and flirting with Dirk Benedict, 61.
*Ensuring Jermaine Jackson, 52, reaches the final three to counter racism claims.
*Sabotaging Cleo Rocos, 44, with footage of her friendship with Jade’s pals Danielle Lloyd and Jo O’Meara.
*A double eviction, possibly this Friday, of Danielle, 23, and Jo, 27.
*Jade, 25, being barred from all future shows.
*Presenters Davina McCall, 39, Russell Brand, 31, and Dermot O’Leary, 33,
dismissing accusations of racism.
*Producers emphasising how much they have donated to charity.
*Jade’s boyfriend Jack Tweed, 19, and Danielle being encouraged to flirt.
*Shilpa being briefed to say she was not racially abused.
*Two new housemates being stopped from going in because they may prove more popular than Shilpa.

Yesterday Channel 4’s board met to discuss the crisis. They are under pressure to sack chief executive Andy Duncan, 44, and terminate future shows.

But bosses hope their rescue plan will save BB.

Fans have already noticed major efforts to manipulate events in the house since gobby bully Jade was booted out.

Cleo was the second favourite until she was shown to have become friends with bitchy Danielle and Jo.

While Jade was in the house, Cleo was seen as sitting on the fence and trying to calm tension – but now it seems she has joined their unpopular gang.

Dirk, who was another threat, has now been portrayed as sulky and childish.

He has also been grumpy and getting on the other celebs’ nerves with his constant puffing on a cigar.

In contrast Shilpa seems happy, relaxed and steering clear of the bitching and jibes, sending her chances of winning rocketing.

She is now the odds-on favourite to triumph, thanks to positive publicity.

Meanwhile TV regulator Ofcom was last night looking at launching a probe over complaints of another fix.

It is alleged Jade was coached before her eviction interview with Davina and that it was pre-recorded.

Public complaints have reached more than 42,000 but Ofcom said they were still in the process of totting up the total.

Hi 1midnightcaller

Yes, saw some of that posted up ealier. Someone started a thread about it, but it soon fell of the front page.

Don't want you to get into trouble with DS, 1midnightcaller So just thought to let you know, that if that is the full news article, that news articles in full are not allowed to be posted up. Only part of a new article and a link seems ok. It is to do with copyright.

But Dirk was better than quite a few of them at the joke and task dance, and I am sure a few more probably failed also, they probably want Dirk down and also out now they can make him look bad in the highlights show if they have him miserable, even if it is only for a short time he is down. It's like he is the scapegoat for them.”

That is what my (no replies..sob ) thread last night was about. They (C4) want Shilpa to win (confrimed by 3 papers today) and Dirk is the biggest competition, so get him out.

The papers have nicked my story....will they lose 'face' to save 'face.'

Hi Dirk fans, still working on this bloody show, but maybe it is for the best. My Dirk live feed love was getting out of control.

Loving the 'crush on Dirk' thread though!!!!

At the beginning of CBB, I actually thought they wanted Dirk to win. They brought him in via the A-Team van, played the A-team theme tune and really hyped the whole thing up. However, I feel as time has passed and other things have transpired, Channel 4/Endemol have shifted their allegiances to make it look like they're doing the right thing and to try and save face, as you say.

Good evening!

Didn't have time to post it this morning, as I was in a rush to get out, but I had a strange and rather disturbing dream last night that Cleo had pushed Dirk out a tree and he had broken his arm and Jo and Danielle were skipping around shouting we broke him we broke him gleefully....

It was rather upsetting and very vivid.

I thought the same. But maybe it was all just the hype of Launch night, to draw in and then keep the viewers interested. And I would say it was working, until the evening of the Goody clan entrance, then it all seemed to go downhill from there

Endemol/BB/C4 have probably now learnt that they are not the be all and end all and the bigger they are the harder they fall.

When do the housemates get questions from us viewers?

Because I am thinking of asking Dirk, if he has ever considered ordering a cross, garlic and holy water for himself on the shopping list. I think he will get my drift

Ha, ha! Nice one!
who me?

I wouldn't be surprised if they were fixing it now so in case they are, I'm glad that has come out. But Dirk is in great form again, I think he's been brilliant to come out in good spirits after all the cra*p he has been subjected to, but he's chatting away and laughing again so I am hopeful, just need to keep our fingers crossed they portray him accurately.

Dirk to win but if it is already Shilpa I will be happy with second so long as they show the real Dirk, otherwise we ought to let them know again.

I think it was similar to his reaction after the Whiskeygate episode, only worse, because Cleo's actions annoyed and hurt him much more than Jades' did....

I'm so happy to see him happy again. I've been really worried for him...

Yes, I had considered that, but I thought about it a bit more and Dirk's entrance has definitely been the best one in the history of the show. I haven't watched the other ones, but you get my point. Because of that (and the extra bits like the theme tune) I really believe he was their favourite. However, I now feel the show has ruined itself and the entire format should be cancelled.

After using it for its intended purpose, Dirk might even use the garlic in one of his recipes!

I don't know if anybody else saw the live feed a little bit earlier, but after CBB asked the housemates to choose a treat up to the value of ten pounds, Ian said "lets all have facepacks" to which Dirk replied "you really are gay, aren't you" - and everybody laughed!

I had an exam yesterday and didn't get to see much of the live feed. Can anyone point out what we might hope to expect from tonights show? From Dirk's point of view - I don't care about the others!

Did anyone just see the clip on E4 of the showgirl routine?

OMG Dirk looks fab and seems to be really into it. Looks like it'll be a good show tonight for that reason alone

I caught a glimpse of Dirk sitting out in the garden with Shilpa a while ago, where he had his yellow jacket on, with the hood up over his baseball cap And his other coat on top of that!!! It looked really sweet.....

I guess a fair bit of it might be about the showgirl dance routine, but I don't know about the remainder of the content! Saying that, surely any amount of Dirk is good for you?!

I'm sure it's total panic station at BB HQ, and they really are winging it now, becasue every twist they try just blows up in their faces. The Goody's obviously, the master and servant task probably helped send Leo round the bend with lack of sleep.

I actually feel like just watching it is an ordeal, lord knows that it's like to be in there. Of course if I feel like watching it is so awful I should be switching off. But I'm wierd enough to feel like I'd be being a disloyal Dirk fan then. Silly moo that I am.

OMG, the lack of sleep is sending me as crazy as Leo!
