The auditions were fantastic, and I'm hooked already

My favourite is definately Frenchie, closely followed by Julia

What a shame we can't vote. It would be worth the price of a US call, just to feel part of the action

umm...i don't think our calls are free. we definitely had to pay last year. And I'm pretty darn sure we have to pay this year too. lol.

I know Islandman. I was wrong. I've just read TWoP's account of the Hollywood auditions. (I dont think we missed a lot there btw, we had less Ryan and a bit of Corey/Alden partying, but the rest sounds the same)
According to them you can only vote for AI using one particular telephone company. Is this true, and how is it fair if it is true? Whatever, put a vote in for Julie tonight from the DS board will you?

No, Islandman you are mistaken. We do NOT have to pay. All calls are toll free. The reason is that most states in the USA have laws against contests that require people to pay. And it is untrue that only certain phone companies may be used.

Also, we will have a show tonight (Tuesday). Every time zone has two hours to vote. On Wednesday evening we will know the results!

The probelm with the free calls is that you get multiple votes coming in. Not a problem you might say until you realise that this is big business and there were accusations in the last series of people putting contestants numbers on a dialler and clocking up thousands of votes.

Not sure of they have been able to sort it out yet but not good.

those peeps who do that must be so sad!! In Pop Idol the phones lines were busy most of the time, and you couldnt get thru - only a total fanatic would sit at their phone for 2 hours waiting to give their votes!! after i'd voted once or twice i couldnt be bothered cos it took ages to get ur vote across cos of the busy lines.

Yep, we have an hour episode of auditions tonight..and then a half hour show of the results tomorrow. Can't wait!! And I'll make sure to call in for Julia for all you here.

I agree with the view that Frenchie should win....... she is absolutely sensational, with a voice that can blast all the others out of the room ! A big mama with a big personality and even bigger voice.... brilliant !!! something to give all the over blow dryed stick insects something to think about.

No. I'm going to wait till they get to the Kodak theatre. The final 10 show is a whole different ball game to the heats. Remember, we haven't seen most of the remaining 24 yet. I see Ruben and Jacob are coming up. I loved Ruban's voice. But it cant be any worse than last week can it? :yawn:

This is FOX, people! I'd say some FOX programming ranks right up there with an adult website.

They've already removed her video from the Fox site. We had a guy in the top 10 who'd won a gay pin up competition or something like that. I'm not saying that's the same thing as Frenchie.The public didn't like him (he was an arrogant little git) but why should mistakes at 18 rob you of the chance of competing?
