reckon SKYone will have a good night on sunday

new simpsons, 24 and lost..

should be a winning multichannel night IMO, also must be one of the most costly lineups on any channel (sky paid massively over the odds for 24 and Lost)

Are Saturdays out yet? If so could someone post them.

Just a quick question.. How is Six Feet Uner doing on More 4 @ about midnight Mon-Thurs?

Fantastic ratings for TV Burp. It's ratings rose despite being shifted earlier. Best ratings ever as well.

Solid enough start for Primeval. Should fare better next week against WWIBF.

ITV will be happy with that. 3 hits in a row on a Saturday is progress for them. Plus they will be happy to have Al Murray start later. It should never have been put on before 10pm anyway.

I think it's a slightly disappointing start for them, when it has such a big inheritance and a huge amount of promotion. Robin Hood started with 8.56m last October.

Also the ratings went down throughout the programme - starting with 7m, falling to 6.4m the recovering slightly as Shrek finished and people turned on for PokerFace.

I think it will do better next week [primeval that is] as its up against weak opposition. I'm not sure if ITV ran exactly on time last night but there was a weird dip in the 3rd quarter of the show before going up again in the 4th. Not sure what that's all about?

A mix of Shrek finishing at 8.35 and PokerFace fans turning on.

Close to a 30% share and averaging nearly 7 million viewers for a new drama launch - disappointing Compare it to the ratings for any other new series this year and I'd say the ratings are pretty good.

Robin Hood is a bit of legend and something that everyone is familiar with though isn't it - Primeval is something completely new. Quite difficult for new dramas to launch to such a high audience share.

Quite an astonishing performance by Shrek for it to beat Primeval over the hour, even in the first 15 mins when Primeval could have expected a healthy inheritance from Dancing on Ice.

For just 7m to tune in at the start will surely be a disappointment for ITV for one of the most heavily promoted new programmes I can remember in a long time. The audience dropped off over the hour, and the fact that the show was, sadly, a bit of a stinker makes me think it could end up languishing around 5m or less over coming weeks. I'm sure I won't be the only one not bothering to tune in again.

I reckon it could change places with TV Burp in the schedules very soon. TV Burp's on fire at the moment - well deserved of course.

As for tonight:

BBC1:

6.45 Antiques Roadshow 5.5m
7.35 News 4.8m
8.00 Rough Diamond 4.3m
9.00 BAFTAs pt1 3.4m
10.00 News 4.7m
10.20 BAFTAs pt2 2.8m

BBC2:

8.00 Top Gear 5.3m
9.00 Louis Theroux 3.2m

ITV1:

7.00 Emmerdale 8.8m
7.30 Coro St 10.8m
8.00 Wild at Heart 7.4m
9.00 Foyle's War 9.3m

Ch4:

8.00 Day After Tomorrow 4m

BBC1 should have stuck with Waking the Dead today and tomorrow and run the BAFTAs over 2 hours from 10.15pm. With T&R on ITV1 moved to tomorrow and Tuesday, Life on Mars may now suffer on Tuesday from the weak 9pm scheduling BBC1 has been forced into tomorrow as a result of interrupting WtD's run tonight - as T&R may get its highest audience of the run tomorrow and a better chance against LoM than it otherwise would have had.
