I said earlier this year, when Five stole Neighbours, that if BBC1 extended its regional news at lunchtime to a 30 mins magazine, creating a 1pm news hour to mirror the 6pm news hour, it would actually INCREASE its ratings share despite the loss of Neighbours.
I think this proves that I was probably right.
Do it, BBC. In fact, they could do it next week. Why are they still promoting a show that is switching to a rival network next year?
