Top Gear is a complete disapointment.

Not one tip for which drugs to buy *

Very interesting. Probably benefitted from ITV taking a brteak in the Star Wars films it has been broadcasting in that slot over recent weeks.

The Darts experiment is interesting. Clearly it is doing well for ITV4 but is not doing so well for ITV1. Presumably growing ITV4's audience is the main aim & there will be more sport on ITV4 in the future, but the placing of it on ITV1 may change, with less of it in these late afternoon slots.

I nearly fell off my chair when I heard it had got 8m, that's incredible for a period drama of a little known (to me anyway!) literary work. And especially when ITV1 was getting 7.2m and BBC2 4m at the same time. As GeorgeS says, a 27.5m combined audience is incredible - bet even Christmas Night won't see a combined peak that high.”

Yes well done Ronant.

and Btw I think the total tv audience was actually higher in the 8-9pm hour. I think it was slightly over 28m in that hour, which is nearly unheard of when there is no big sporting event on.

Top Gear doesn't need to go to BBC1..if people can't find or be bothered to press the number two button on their remote control then I think the world has gone mad..I've never understood this programmes swapping channels nonsense..both BBC channels need their own ratings hits..this it what I think gives the programme and channel an identity..

right I'm off to take me tablets.....lol

I'm a celeb is doing well it may not be its best series (that goes to S4) but the tasks and celebs are spot on IMO and it proves they dont need to have an A-list lineup to make the show work the chemistry (or lack of it) between the celebs is great and the bushtucker trials have been spot on IMO and the bush battles is a new element to the show which is good.

Panorama and The One show got unusual ratings.

Doesnt Masternind normally get double that figure?

It seems the One Show is mainly benefiting from BBC2's poor showing at 7pm. Emmerdale is still on 40% share.

I'm surprised. I thought everybody was sick of hearing about the McCanns. Shows you what I know.

Yeah, the McCanns undoubtedly boosted Panorama. I'm A Celeb did better last night but I expect it to fall back down tonight. Amazing ratings for The One Show, although who knows what they'll be like tonight? They're forever going up and down.

No...It got 4.4 mil on Fri so to say its going to go lower than that is pretty stupid, I'd say that the football would get 8-9 mil on BBC 1 (assuming its on BBC 1) and I'ma Celeb about 5 mil or so.

A very healthy audience on a Monday night again last night, due to the weather obviously. TV ratings will continue to benefit this week as this weather seems to be continuing.

Top Gear's ratings for its latest series are slightly down on the first series this year, yet considering it is on BBC TWO and up against a programme getting 5-6 million on BBC ONE and programmes on ITV1 getting 6-9 million its audience is remarkably good, if not even improved from January-March 2007.

Wow! Simpsons hit 3 million. It hasn't hit that in a long time.

OK, a little predictive test...

Cranford got 8m.

How many will the sunday teatime repeat get?

Will next weeks evening episode get less than, more than or the same 8m?

Reasons for it getting less include people thinking "Aah, I can miss it and catch it again the following sunday afternoon"

Reasons for it getting more include "I missed the first episode, but read the reviews so watched the teatime repeat and now I'm hooked"

I think it will grow, slightly, to about 8.5m...
