Yup, Sky say they have about 90,000 HD subscribers.Unlikely more than 50% watching at any given time and not all watching BBC HD. So effect on the audience at this stage probably imperceptible but expect to grow as HD spreads, very much in the way colour TV spread back in the 60s

Nothing surprising about last night's ratings really, DOI doing a bit better than expected perhaps up against the rugby. Primeval pretty consistant with last week, When Will I Be Famous? benefited from being up against it though.

Anyone know how Supernatural on ITV2 is doing against 24 over on Sky?

Cheers

Harry Hill improved a lot from last week! The rugby did great, and when will i be famous once again improved, whereas primeval decreased once again. Great ratings again for Dancing on Ice.

Very high ratings for DoI. Presumably it started lower and rose sharply as people gave up on the rugby at half time, or during the 2nd half as it turned into a stuffing. I guess it must have peaked at 10m+.

Can't understand why Al Murray is getting such abysmally low ratings. It's the best thing on telly right now!

A couple of weeks ago 24 had 711,000 while Supernatural had 515,000. So they're both doing pretty well.

Agreed. It's a very competitive schedule tonight - and there's more hours of viewing tonight that I want to watch than in the whole of last week!

I don't think Recovery will get anything like 6.6m viewers. It's the sort of "difficult" "issues" drama that audiences shy away from, particularly on a Sunday night. Despite its strong leads, I'd be staggered if it gets more than 3.5m. It should give Lewis a better chance than last week.

Top Gear continues to defy expectations. I keep thinking its new-found audience will tail-off, but it's sticking at around 7m. So maybe tonight will see the drop-off start.

BBC1:

6.45 Antiques Roadshow 5.2m
7.35 News 4.5m

can i ask why do you keep asking for ratings for Neighours all the time.

the show isn't under any threat in being dropped and is doing pretty good in the ratings that we don't need to keep being reminded about it.

Yeh, Neighbours is contracted until next year on the BBC and both the BBC and Five have expressed an interest after that, so thats it pretty much safe until the end of the decade.

But is it? Ratings are very poor in Oz and they really need to sort their act out. If it didn't have as good ratings in the UK it may be axed very soon!
