What are you on about??? Thats pretty much exactly what it gets day in day out. It alway beats ITV1, always beats Richard and Judy and often beats Paul O'Grady. Its doing very well indeed - and look at it's 1.40 audience, incredibly that hasn't changed for years and years despite the growth of digital.

Hiya Everyone - Are Saturday's ratings available yet ?

I Hope Comic Relief Does Fame Academy did well against ITV1 - I'm hoping they had at least 7million

Well they are quite low comapred to last year. For e.g. on a random date, like 20-6-06, it got 3.6m (25.1%), and for 22-06-06 it got 3.7 (27.4%)... much higher than 18/19%.

Fair enough, i was just comparing them with the last few weeks and months.

A daytime show which reaches 1m viewers is doing well. A daytime show which reaches nearly around 3m, then manages to do it again at teatime is a massive success.

This Morning, for example, struggles to find 800,000 viewers, never mind 6m.

And I don't the problem with an 18% share. Considering multi-channel will get a 40-50% share at that time, I'd say around 30-40% of terrestrial viewing is excellent.

You can't compare its share with Emmerdale, Eastenders or Corrie, because they are huge. You also can't compare it to the first Neighbours and Doctors, because they are in a non-competitive slot.

What multichanel shows get large audiences in the 5-6pm slot as I wasnt aware that there were any big hitters on other channels at that time

I've only just realised how well YBF does, a 28.9% share is brilliant. 5.3m for TV Burp is great aswell.

Once again Dancing On Ice rules Saturday night, Primeval drops viewers once again however it was up against Casualty, which did good as usual. Poker Face does well in its finale. Ratings are dissapointing for Comic Relief Does Fame Academy- I'm sure the Beeb were expecting at around the 6 million mark.

Hmm, I remember it starting quite low a couple of years ago as well. It tends to build its audience up during the weeknight shows.

Primeval drops viewers once again, Casualty does great as usual,”

Casualty was down on previous weeks and Primeval did well considering it was head to head with Casualty.

I wish that ITV would run to the same timings every week. The have a strong and varied line up at the moment, so why not have some faith in it and start with Harry Hill at 6pm each week running through to Al Murray starting at 10.15?

I agree with that-then ratings would probably be more consistent.

So it had a lower start this year. Still not bad considering the competition.

WOW! Never knew it got into the 8 million range. Doubt it will this year as it goes head to head with Emmerdale and Corrie.

This was the competiotion in 2005 - Stars in Their Eyes which got 4.93m and for the results Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? which had 6.38m.

Ratings are down for everything compared with two years ago, so it's a pretty similar start really. The difference now is all the weekday episodes go out at 7pm up against ITV's soaps - so it could find things a bit more difficult.

Think it may be suffering from the 'overload' of these celebrity singing shows. When it was first on it was new & had novelty value but now it is just more of the same!! The pull of red nose day 'may' increase rating later in series but just don't think it will hit the viewing figures of earlier series.
