They are interesting to see, but I sometimes avoid the ratings threads because some people go OTT (thinking about the one in the soaps forum)”

To put it in the simplest terms, the reach is the percentage of the population (or the population with a tv) that channel reaches during the week. Not that complicated really

Does anyone else have problems viewing the terrestrial Top 30 programmes for each channel individually, when I want, say just the BBC1 Top 30 on its own I get an error message like this "7697B5," on line 106, column 47, is not a valid identifer name. this has never happend before but has been happening since Barb tarted up their website.

Just wondering if this happens or has happend to anyone else?

Thanks..

I don't think Lillies is going to do very well at all. It's on the wrong night if you ask me.

I'd switch the BB ratings around. The first half of the first show was against Coronation Street and it didn't do as well as that last week, with less competition.

I reckon Lillies could get less than 3m, it is that hopeless a piece of scheduling. Not Friday night fare at all.

After You've Gone was surprisingly less dire than I expected but still no better than mediocre. It will have been blown out of the water by Coro St tonight, 4m tops.

Soapstar Supershite will have had a boost from Corrie no doubt, probably >6m tonight.

Corrie could also boost EastEnders with the larger than normal Coro St audience switching over at 8pm for EastEnders for 30 mins. Probably 10m for EastEnders but I reckon Coro will get 12.5m for either or both of its episodes tonight. It seems to be on a roll at the minute.

Well it did get 11.2 million last Friday so I expect to see it up on that at least.

I think Corrie will be at least 12m for both of the episodes. I hope it can top 13m but i think that is highly unlikely.

What did the VoD get on New Years Day?

I think Lillies will do fine - not sure why people think the scheduling is that bad, it will attract exactly the sort of people who dislike BB and SS. No less than 5m i think, possibly over 6m.

Any figures for last night?

Looks like slim pickings for BBC1 tonight (and indeed, for the next 3 months). I reckon top shows will be:

1. Harry Potter 9.8m
2. Soapstar S/star results 7.7m
3. Soapstar s/star main show 5.9m
4. Casualty 5.8m
5. 1 vs 100 5.5m

Others:

- Your Country Needs You results 3.5m
- Your Country Needs You main show 3.2m
- Al Murray 3.8m
Pepsi_Max_Kid
13-01-2007
BBC1

Weakest Link - 4.4 Million
Your Country Needs You - 3.2 Million
Lottery - 6.1 Million
Casualty - 6.6 Million
Your Country Needs You (2) - 3.3 Million

ITV

Soapstar Superstar - 6 Million
Harry Potter - 8 Million
Soapstar Superstar Results - 6.9 Million
Al Murray - 3.8 Million

Wouldn't be surprised if that your country needs you show will flop even more than i have said!

ITV will pretty much dominate the night. A Harry Potter movie premiere is pretty much guaranteed to pull in the viewers.
