Have to say I gave up with Mobile. Enjoyed first episode but just couldn't get into 2nd (even tried again as I had it on sky+) so didn't switch onto 3rd. Seems I wasn't the only one.

One prediction for tonight:
the football plus CSI will once again knock Life On Mars down below 5m

You missed one of the most unintentionally hilarious last 10 minutes of any TV show. Harry Hill could not have done it better.

Spoiler
At the end the surviving cast (bar one) all shot each other or blew one another up in a single scene, involving a gun seige using a bath tap.

Coronation Street's Trial Proved a ratings winner as expected , Eastenders' ratings are lower than usual but nothing dramatic. Tonight i am hoping for a rise in ratings and hoping Life on Mars gets another 6 million from Last Week.

Somehow I just cant see shows like Play it Again and Castaway getting big audiences especially against big hitters on ITV1. Castaway may have provoked interest when it was first shown, but since then we have had "Im a Celebrity" which throws a rather large shaddow over any other attempt in this field. When people eventually tire of IAC I dont think the format can go many places else.As far as Play it Again is concerned, IMO this is a BBC2 or even BBC3 show, not primetime Sunday.

Unlikely with the football on.

I think there will be some effect, though Liverpool may not attract quite as many viewers as Man U, and this is only the first leg.
Also I think there will be a considerable number of people videoing LOM.

4 Lost (Sky One 22:00) 670

I never knew lost was doing so badly. I thought it was getting over 1 million ever week.

It seems to be the show most affected by Sky losing the Virgin Media distribution.

I think 24's been the most affected - does anybody have the ratings?

The fairly disappointing 11.8m overnight for Coronation St means it won't beat the 13.08m official rating for the actual murder episode which put it level-pegging with the final Vicar of Dibley.

So unless England make it to the Rugby World Cup Final again, I think those two will share the biggest audience of 2007.

Wonder why they revealed the verdict right at the start of episode 2? It pulled 12.6m at the start, but people drifted away. They could have averaged that over the 25 mins if they'd delivered it at the end.

6.3m and 27% and slot win for the Liverpool fotball match on ITV1 last night from 7.45pm

Life on Mars finale is up against a quarter final second half featuring Man Utd & Chelsea on ITV1 and ITV4 respectively.

Actually that rating was for the episode where Charlie died in the Monday episode. The murder episode wasn't as high as 13.08million and was shown on the previous Friday.

It won it's slot between 9 and 10pm - beating ITV's coverage of the football between those times.

Why do you try and be so negative about one of the best programmes on television in years? Above you're going on about how it'll get less than 5m and lose etc etc. You seem to want it to do badly, and you've probably never seen it. Very odd.

I'm only pointing out the facts of what happened. If you want to bang a drum for something, away you go. I'm just stating the facts.

No you're constantly putting it down, saying it's going do badly, saying it's lost etc etc, when in fact it's doing very, very well, and beat everything in it's slot last night. You seem to dislike anything on BBC1, despite, i assume, you never watching it. Generally you talk absoloute cobblers.

Well firstly you post is offensive so I've sent it to the mods.

Secondly it was you who posted 5 minute figures on here on a day ago and talked out how shows grew or lost audience during their broadcast.

Thirdly I find it ironic that you call someone else pedantic!

Hmmm well i'm not sure how you were offended by that, i'm sorry if you find the word 'cobblers' offensive - if that's what you were referring too! I did put a little after it.

I just said that Life on Mars beat the football, i'm sorry i wasn't clearer. I obviously should of said it beat 'the average for the live football, post match analysis and highlights'. Clearly Football isn't quite clear enough.

Great to see LOM winning it's slot. Still a shame to see it's average down on last year - no thanks to the BBC mucking about with its schedule. Hopefully will get a great audience for the finale next week.

EastEnders held up pretty well also, drawing its average audience of 8-10 million viewers a night.
