Well done to ITV1. The BBC ONE schedule on a Saturday night is a bit of a mess, Doctor Who should be on after I'd Do Anything in its traditional 7.00pm timeslot.

Absolutely fantastic night for ITV and it think its great to see them making an effort on Saturday and coming off so well.
Britain's Got Talent is a fantastic and real family entertainment programme and if it can achieve well over 10 million on its 2nd show it really will be interesting to see what the final will bring in. Look out BBC - looks like there Saturday night primetime stronghold has well and truly fallen. ITV could be looking at their best week of the year (much like last year I recall) and it could really give NaT a boost and if it still performs poorly after a BGT lead in then perhaps it is time to move it back to 10:30pm? |

I'm thinking with these ratings BGT could achieve astronomical ratings for its finale. 15/16 million?
I think we need to see what next week's episode rates. If it rises to even higher than 10.3m, then I think the final will get in the 12m-14m region. If it gets below 10.3m, then I think perhaps this series will fluctuate in the ratings, but I think the final will still get around 10.5m-12m. |

I doubt it to be honest with you. If it got 15/16 million, then you're suggesting 70% of the tv audience would be watching it, which frankly is too high. Only England football matches get those type of shares. Also, the final will be in the first week of June when there is good weather, so perhaps less people will be watch tv overall.

Everyone starts talking about it. They did last year and the ratings rose and rose. I imagine the audition ratings will hover at around 10m but the live shows could attract even more... ITV will be unbeatable in that week (presuming its weekly) I imagine the same is true of the Apprentice, which could hit 9 or even 10m for its finale this year the way it's going. Also, it'll be really interesting to see how a 10m lead in to News at Ten will work. |

Has it been confirmed if the BGT final will be on Saturday or like last year on Sunday?
If it's on a Sunday, then I think the rating could be more than if it was on Saturday. Because 19.00-21.00 Sunday is the pimp slot of the week- more people watch tv in this time period than any other time period. Often the total tv audience is around the 27 million mark, whereas on Saturdays it's around the 23 million mark. |

Biggest shows of the week,
Eastenders, Coronation Street and Britains Got Talent. That is so depressing it makes you give up on this country having any taste whatsoever. Seriously, who watches this rubbish? I always thought of TV as a bit of escapism. |

BGT is a great show, good entertainment for a Saturday evening and just cos you don't like it doesn't mean its rubbish.

The Doctor Who fans are talking about emigrating, just because BGT got higher ratings last night. Over reacting, never!

I'm sure ITV will be happy with 4.7m for Pushing Daisies.
Its doing better than alot of ITV's new British Drama's so hopefully it might see some of the Terrestrial Channels other than five giving the creme of the US shows some better slots rather than hiding them away after 10pm or on a Digital channel. Obviously don't want them taking over as we need British shows being aired on the main networks but a couple of the best shows on each terrestrial channel a year wouldnt be a problem and might make British producers step up a gear |
