Its interesting the big US imports have such an appreciative audience, compared to British Dramas (life on Mars excepted)

Lost also had 88 that week, but was beaten by the two Doctor Who repeats on BBC3 which scored 90 and 89 and Bones on Sky 1, which had 89.

Stuff like Lost and Bones do tend to get bigger AI's though as they're on smaller channels with much much smaller audiences - so it's audience is more likely to be made up of hardcore fans, whereas programmes on BBC1/ITV1 have far bigger audiences, part of that audience might be hardcore fans, but a lot won't be. Which makes the AI's of Life on Mars and Doctor Who even better.

Not Too bad for Eastenders though - but It s dissapointing that they are not getting such good ratngs as Corrie because it is still proving to be excellent drama. Loved Tuesday's episode - Dot , Jim and Abi were excellent to watch together - the baby storyline looks amazing !
Great Ratings for Life on Mars with a peak of 8.1m I'm watching On BBC4 tonight as I missed it on Tuesday - set the tape and it stopped halfway through Can't wait to know What happens to Sam !

Tonight's guess

Emmerdale (ITV1 , 7:00) 7.3m 38%
Eastenders (BBC1 , 7:30) 8.1m 42%
Hotel Babylon (BBC1 , 9:00) 5.5m 24%

On a slight tangent (and just to annoy ronant a little ) ITV are guaranteed 3 nights of huge ratings for 2 Champions League semi's (including the 2nd leg of Chelsea vs Liverpool) plus a guaranteed British club in the final. I wonder if the final clashes with the Apprentice. Its finale should be around then as well. Could be another screw up by the BBC schedulers. First they put the LoM finale against a big match, then the Apprentice? Ronant do you know when the Apprentice concludes? The Champions League final is on the 23rd of May.

It's 12 weeks, so probably 6th June, but if Man U make it to the final, that match is going to rate through the roof!

Dont worry... apprentice will definitely NOT clash with the champions leage final- the final is on may 23rd. The apprentice has about 11 weeks left in it, so the apprentice final is gonna be around mid-june.

Yeh, i agre. If the match has manchester united in it, it will get some big big ratings. But if it has manu, and another english team, it's gonna be gigantic.

well its the winner of chelsea v liverpool against the winner of Man U v Milan in the final, so one english club is guaranteed a place and thats not Man U

Liverpool Versus Man United would be a ratings dream for ITV!

Coverage of the Liverpool final two years ago averaged 10.11m from 7pm, although that was one of the greatest matches ever.

BBC1 has Life Line (a supernatural two-parter like Sea of Souls) up against the first leg of Man Utd vs AC Milan on ITV1 and then Crimewatch on against Liverpool vs Chelsea a week later. So they're not putting anything 'big' like Life on Mars up against it, which is nice to see.

These Appreciation Index scores are really interesting thanks Ronant, you must keep posting them - the bottom 30 would be even more interesting! I imagine a lot of ITV features in there...

National Lottery draws are usually the lowest. Usually because 99.9999% of the people who have bought a ticket have just realised that they have wasted their money
