Clever scheduling RobbieSykes! I hadn't thought of that, but that would be the best way of getting out of it - and screwing up ITV1's 9pm slot too with HC/HB overlapping! Very clever!
HolbyBlue actually looks better than you might think, it's co-produced by Kudos (Life on Mars, Hustle, Spooks) and written by Tony Jordan, the co-creator of Life on Mars and Spooks and one of EastEnders' best writers. The actual idea is awful though, but at least they seem to be making the most of it. I'd agree with all your predictions too - except a little lower for Dame Edna perhaps, maybe 2.5m, and a little higher for the footie. Last edited by ronant : 14-04-2007 at 19:58. |

And what's happened to Gameshow Marathon? Last series it got over 9m one episode, and was regularly over 8m. That was after The X Factor and in the autumn, but still! Is Vernon Kay that bad??!

Its not that he is bad exactly, just that he doesnt have any particular star quality. ITV seem to have realised this and are shunting the rest of the series into the 6pm slot where it can burn off the rest of the series in a backwater slot. Its amazing that Millionaire still has some life in it yet, despite its age. |

ITV did bid last time but pulled out of the bidding before the end. The BBC has the rights to Aintree & Royal Ascot until 2010 though so nothing will happen for a few years. Last edited by GeorgeS : 15-04-2007 at 15:30. |

Amazing that DW is the only show that gets a majority of kids watching. All the other shows split the child audience.

Interesting also that the BBC News at 10.10 was in the top 10 programmes watched by children yesterday. And to think if the footie had overrun Dr. Who would have been postponed so "the kids could still watch it" ! It seems there's still plenty of them watching telly even at 10pm!
I understand the BBC's decision though, just think their reasoning was a bit silly. |
