I dont think ITV will "ruin" Neighbours. ITV really struggle with the daytime ratings so i'm sure if they do get neghbours they'll be on their best behaviour if you get my jist. They cannot really afford to "ruin" it

And from your history i can see your a clear eastenders fan and also take the ratings very seriously and see your fully anti-ITV.

I dont think theres a problem with either of that. Just have different tastes in TV - thats all.

Well - having watched Grease viewers don't seem to have been too bothered about the results  - 1M less!!
Interesting to see breakdown of viewing figures for earlier show by every 15 mins. Did the same happen as last week huge switchover after Joseph finished?

Great casualty figures again!! Dame Edna clearly isn't doing too well.

Very poor night for ITV - although saturday nights has never been fantastic for them. Then again they'll trash the BBC tonight.

How much longer is "any dream will do" and "grease is the word" scheduled for?

.............BBC1................ITV1........
19:30 5.0 (28.0%)....3.4 (19.0%)
19:45 5.2 (28.5%)....3.3 (18.4%)
20:00 5.5 (28.8%)....3.6 (18.8%)
20:15 5.8 (29.5%)....3.8 (19.1%)
20:30 .......................4.0 (19.2%)
20:45 .......................3.4 (16.1%)

I don't know the Dame Edna average for the whole show, but the first 15 minutes averaged 1.6m (8.5%). At the same time BBC1 had 5m, BBC2 3.9m, Channel 4 1m and Five 1.5m.

Good for you

Surprised though. You'd think that bookie would know better. I mean wasn't grease doing badly last weeek.

Is the Eurovision Song Contest on during these 5 weeks? Presumbly the Beeb will move ADWD to Sunday like it did with Strictly Dance Fever.

Grease was originally a heavy favourite over at Paddy Power but they then flip-flopped in the last two weeks.

Some lucky punters I think managed to get on at 3/1+ for Joseph to beat Grease in the ratings when they went live and head-to-head (not me I hasten to add but I didn't bet it at odds-on at 2/7 either).

Yes on 12th May. Any Dream Will Do is staying on Saturday though - this is the unconfirmed schedule, from BBC Press Office:
5.40 Any Dream Will Do
6.40 Doctor Who
7.25 Any Dream Will Do
7.50 National Lottery Draws
8.00 Eurovision Song Contest

That would suggest that ADWD gets an older audience than Grease since they are neck & neck in the U16's figures. I would think that the figures are similar for the 16-34 age bracket & that ADWD does a lot better in the older brackets. X factor used to do the same against SCD although to a greater extent than Grease.

Doctor Who's ratings are very low due to the good weather. Thank God for the repeat on BBC Three at a bloody proper time that doesn't change evry week.

Thats great! I saw those but i never betted online before so did'nt bother. but i could'nt believe they had those odds for the first live head to head even though bbc had easily beat them for the first two weeks!

Yeah, most watched show of the day. That early slot is harming Doctor Who.

Shame about Edna as well. I happen to think it was a fantastic show. I'm not too sure if it will get a recommission now - I remain hopeful because they did give Al Murray a second run.

I read this thread backwards and the way some people were talking it was as if Doctor Who did badly yesterday but it didn't.

Highest share of the day and the audience was still good, the only difference is that it wasn't the most watched show of the day for a change.

It's nice to see Casualty doing well.
