I don't know the Dame Edna average for the whole show, but the first 15 minutes averaged 1.6m (8.5%). At the same time BBC1 had 5m, BBC2 3.9m, Channel 4 1m and Five 1.5m.
Thanks for this.

Very interesting. Looks like Joseph viewers have all up given up on even bothering to tune into Grease. Also Grease viewers getting tired as well losing 600K viewers in the final 15 mins & another 800K for results show. Doesn't bode well for future weeks.

Not at all suprised that Joseph is attracting the older audience as it is being produced in a far more adult way. Grease lost its audience with the ridiculous novelty acts & can't get them back. I must say that as much as I personally expected to enjoy Joseph more I did really expect Grease to win the ratings war.

Dame Edna - can't stand him/her!! Was surprised that ITV thought it was a good move to bring back. Hopefully this is the one & only series.

I guess it's a matter of taste then May. I happen to think it was a good move. Perhaps the ratings weren't as good as they had hoped, but I found it hilarious and the only thing I've watched on Saturdays besides Doctor Who, since Harry Hill ended.

I can't stand that Joseph show, and the less said about Grease the better.

Match of the Day did very well at 4.3 million. It is very watchable with each match getting a bitesize segment. The BBC (and me) will be hoping that at least it is able to hang on to the highlights when the contract comes up for renewal.

What,..just Doctor Who's?

The weather was really good for one of it's recent episodes and it still got impressive figures despite the weather.

Bit daft putting both on the same night.

Was a repeat of last night's Victoria Wood programme originally scheduled for 7pm? (Digiguide indicates this).

If so, why? Seems a bit pointless to me.

Seems a bit weird scheduling to plan to repeat Wood the next night, both shows in primetime slots. Its like something a digital channel would do.

The Bob Woolmer story was their "hot exclusive"* The terorism story will be done well by Peter Taylor, a reporter who knows what he is talking about & isn't prey to wobbly camera work & hyperbole like some of the newer Panorama guys are.

Victoria's Empire did Well for BBC1 bringing in 5 million- They don't nrmaly have anything more than 4 million on Sunday now during Prime Time except rom one-off occasions.

A rather optimisitic figure for Eastenders and emmerdale.

I would guess:

7pm Panorama Terrorism 1 hour Special 3.7m
8pm Eastenders 7.7m
8.30pm Panorama Bob Woolmer 3.5m
9:00pm New Tricks - 7.2m

ITV1
7pm Emmerdate 5.9m
7.30pm Coronation Street 8.7m
8pm Tonight Terrorism Special 4m
8.30pm Coronation Street 8.5m
9:00pm Taggart 3.3m

I'm not surprised Kingdom lost 1.5m viewers. I bet many like me watched because he was in the lead role but gave up on it.

Amazing figure for Fat Man's Warning. Saw a few mins - what absolute rubbish!!

Most shows do lose viewers after the first show of a new programme! 6.7m is still good, I think next week will test whether the show can hold on to a good audience. Doctor who started with 10m than fell to 7m in its second week, yet it's still here

It's down to The One Show being delayed until June - so they're rather short of programmes for 7pm at the moment. And Castaway going 3 times a week is probably more to do with plugging that hole in the schedules rather than anything else. The One Show was meant to be on air by now...

Why are people giving the soaps low ratings - Eastenders will definelty make the 8m mark , Corrie probably near nine and emmerdale 7m
