There are a number of buttons on the remote that will also allow you to control a TV

Has anybody had any sucess in reprogramming these to work with a non Panasonic TV

We have a goodmans Tv. The codes listed in the manual for goodmans do not seem to work.

The instructions are not clear, they instruct you to press and hold one button (TV standby from memory) and then enter the code. Nothing appears on the TV screen and it is not clear if you release the standby button before entering the code.

I have tried various combinations with no sucess.

I agree that in its desire to be sucsinct the manual is 'not very clear' in a few places ! My remote controls my Philips ok though and I think I held the button whilst typing the numbers ( otherwise the numbers simply operated the ex85 ) sounds like your tv is not supported I'm sorry to say.. I keep forgetting to use them anyway !

I have a Philips tv too and have had no problems, the remote controls it. Must admit I was surprised it worked so easily, I expected to have problems.

Yes - press and keep holding the button whilst entering the two-digit code....which in your case is either 05, 06 or 31

If one code does not work, try the next.

One possible error you are making is that it should be the TV standby button that you hold down, not the DVDR standby button.... i.e. the second from left button, top row ... in the TV section.

All of my panasonic hand sets work well with both a bush and a sony tv, don't forget that if you need to turn on your tv by pressing a channel button you will need to use the channel up/down key in the tv section of the handset only using the red button to turn the tv off.
