User on Orrange Network
Hi Guys,
On New Years Eve a girl called Gemma gave me her mobile number but when I ring it I get an orrange answerphone message. Is there anyway I can make sure the number that was given to me by this girl called Gemma is the corect number rather than keep ringing this number and getting the aswerphone message?. Can I ring orrange and ask who this number belongs to as the SIM card in the phone must be registerd to both the phone and the phone operator (Orrange) Thanks Craig |

Sounds like you've been had mate. She's either given you an old number or a fake number. You can't check any other users info as this is a breach of their privacy.

If it was an old number it would be disconnected by now wouldn't it?. Anyway it goes to Orrange answerphone so someone must be there.

Perhaps she's trying to give you the message she doesn't want to talk to you.

So because the answerphone is on does that mean that her phone is in use or not.
When I showed her my phone with her number on it and said Is this correct she said Yes Last edited by cmorris : 05-01-2007 at 13:15. |

Check the number against the Scott Mills Radio 1 program as she could be giving you the flirt divert number he gives out.

Note to OP: Listen to Scott Mills on Radio 1 this evening as he's more than likely to be giving the number out. As suggested in the post above, check the number you have with the one thats given out on air and if it's the same that'll explain things. I can safely say that its not happened to me yet lol

I don't see what's so hard to understand here. She's given you an old number that is switched off.

If it was switched off shouldn't the phone go dead when you ring the number and if it WAS an old number why does it goe straight to the answerphone + she said YES to Is it the correct number!

Do also bear in mind that Orange send their users a text message when someone calls when the phone is off and they don't leave a message. So if she still does use the phone, she may be very scared right now, depending on how many times you've tried to call her! |

Seriously, she's given you an old number or something. If she told you that was definitely the right number and that was a few days ago then ring it, leave a message and if she's interested she will call you, if not she won't. I don't think it's right to start posting where she works and everything. A lot of girls do this if they're not interested..

This is beginning to sound like stalking. If she has confirmed her number and you've rung it. She either doesn't want to talk to you or hasn't picked up her messages yet.
Just leave it. |

Or turn delivery reports on, text it and see what happens. If she don't turn her phone on for a certain amount of time it will come back failed. Personally I think you've been had though.

You can get a number from your provider which will put you straight though to the voicemail for your mobile with out your phone ever ringing! Very usefull to give out to someone you want to talk to when you feel like it!
Found this out with vodaphone, when you sign up with them for online billing, it's listed as your voicemail number. |

I appologise people for this its just its the first time I have ever liked a girl. I have never had a girlfriend since Gartree when I was 14.
I chatted her up on New Years Eve at the pub and now I can't stop thinknig about her as she was very cute and attractive. Does Scott Mills give a different number out each night or is it the same number that he gives that is on the website and is 07770756408 |

Slight correction, it's Orange, not Orrange. |

I think the flirt divert number has changed once or twice.
Post it here, leaving out the last few digits. |
