Daewoo vs Philips...Any Advice??
hi,i'm on a pretty tight budget and can't really afford a top range dvd recorder...i do want one with a hard drive...i have a basic tv setup here...no skybox or freeview or anything like that...just a basic analogue package...all i want is to record stuff off the tv when i'm not around, and if i want to keep something,i want to be able to burn it onto a dvd...
the only choices i have are: daewoo DH6100 (80GB) - €220 / £148 / $288 daewoo DHR8100P (160GB) - €250 / £169 / $327 philips DVDR 3440H (80GB) - €280 / £189 / $366 i am leaning towards the philips as it probably has a better name,i thought daewoo only made cars! but the daewoo seems better value for money... i would greatly appreciate some advice from you guys...thanks... zak. |

To be honest, Philips don't have the best reputation when it comes to DVD recorder reliability.
I bought mine simply because it was the only machine available at the time which had Guideplus, a feature which I still find excellent - though now available on other manufacturer's machines. That said, my machine has been absolutely problem free for a couple of years now... ...touches wood... very quickly... |
