The Cast Need Some Ooomph - Bring in a new family to stir things up!! a couple of nice looking young men - For Stacy to grope at LOL

& Kat & Alfie to return with Twins!!!

I think 2007 has got off to a great start it will be a great year if they keep the same standard in the other 210 episodes to be screened this year.

what about bringing back about 6 or 7 old cast members like...
janine grant sonia,s mum and baby (or older child now) ians eldest step son steven) frank you know some old cast so brings back a little bit of the old square for 2007...

I hope this thread actually lasts to be honest! Emmerdale's got a big thread, so has Hollyoaks and there is a Corrie discussion thread somewhere..so why not Eastenders?

I must say that i am looking forward to what the new producer, Deirdrick Santer has planned. I think last night was the first episode in which he was in charge. I really hope that this year he focuses on character development, so many characters have arrived in Eastenders over the past year, that i don't think any new arrivals should be needed. The cast has changed so much, so i hope Deirdrick Santer focuses on developing these characters and giving them gritty and hard hitting storylines.

I think they should bring back

Carol Jackson, perhaps with a new man and maybe a kid
Grant and Courtney
Lisa and Louise
Sharon and baby Dennis

Not all at once like EE did this year with the Foxes and the brannings but perhaps Carol this month or next month, to support Sonia
Lisa perhaps around April/ May to cause trouble for him and Stella
Sharon and baby in the Summer, because it will have been two years since she married Dennis
Grant and courtney October maybe, or for christmas.

I'd like to see Frank, Janine Etc back on our EE screen too!!

Personally, i don't think they should bring any old faces back to EE unless they still have ties to the Square. EE should leave the past in the past and move on, and bring in fresh characters instead of bringing back past characters.

I really really want Grant to return, aswell as Sharon.
Eastenders recently has been outstanding but it's still missing two of the best characters of the soap.

I disagree. Most of the new characters that are brought in do not compare to old characters such as sharon, grant, janine, lisa etc. I personally DO hope that EE bring back some old faces. We miss them all

Are you a Sharon fan like me . Did you see in her the audience of just the two of us the other day, she looked a bit like goldilocks!
She was with the rest of the cast so is this a clue that she is back filming with them or was she just there to support and old friend?

Yes i am indeed! I think it could be a clue, however she may just be there for support. But i have got this feeling she may return at some point this year

I remember before she said she was just taking another break and she will return in the future, so there is some hope that she may return this year!

Really, so do I. I wonder what makes us think this, I mean it's not like she's come back before or anything?

Why have we got another EE thread we don't need it!

I know its a bit odd, but i do have this feeling she will be returning, what with the news of Pauline, or Martin&Sonia situation, i dunno i just have this feeling some time this year

I think EE should bring back Courtney.
She was a great character and Megan Jossa played her brilliantly.

you know the producer of itv he was part of the launch of eastenders back in the day i wonder if he will stop the clashes with eastenders now ????

I think both the upcoming Deano and Garry stories show that he is going to develop the characters who have been in the past for tooooo long and done nothing because the likes of Kat, Little Mo, Alfie, Dennis, Sharon, Den, Phil etc where at the forefront. 2006 was a good year as most character got involved in some kind of plot, even Gus had a brief fling with Sonia as did Naomi . Garry and Minty had the SJ thing which was a bit of a drab.

I think this could be a good sign and also the upcoming Dot story sound harrowing IF it's true.

I'm not keen on bringing big names back to the Soap it can ruin the memory most times like the recent Grant return and if he did return again he would take control of all the stories because Grant ain't a character (Or Ross Kemp ain't the type) to sit around playing happy families for months while the other cast have stories but when Grant comes back it's Mitchells this and Mitchells that. And in 2006 they nearly ruined Jane because of it

But what I do agree with is Characters who never had the chance to shine to return and make themselves work eg Kelly Taylor, Sasha Perkins, Guzin Osman, Nellis Ellis etc. The one in bold is one I really want to see for some reason. Never saw the character on screen before but have been reading up about her on Wikipedia, asking on Walford Web for information and I saw the actress in Emmerdale the other day, poor woman is really in a low place because she has to work with JO, KATIE, ANDY and SCOTT some of the worst characters in the show, her acting talent was showing them up on screen

I'm all for bringing back old faces but not Frank and Sharon they have been in and out so much its not even exciting when theres a rumour of their return anymore. Neither of them have anyone (blood related) left to return too. Steven Beale would be good, a visit from Kat and Alfie, Bring back David & Simon Wicks for a Surprise Birthday party for Pat. How about Winston from the market and Tracy from the pub become more involved in storylines ( they almost made it with Tracy when Sam clouted her and locked her in the bathroom) These two show up for everyones wedding and funeral (unlike characters own families).

i think they should get new face for michelle bring her back with her kids and husbund that will keep the fowlers going maybe michelle husbund could work on the fruit and veg stall
